How to apply

Please note the that there are special requirements for the application to the RTG1721 program.
Below you find a list of required and recommended documents for your application.

Required documents

• CV (max. 2 pages)
• Motivation statement and research experience (max. 3.000 characters)
• Record of study (transcripts) and degree certificate of bachelor degree, Vordiplom or equivalent degree
• Record of study (transcripts) and degree certificate of master degree, Diplom or equivalent degree (if applicable). If not yet completed, please provide temporary transcripts
• 2 letters of recommendation (Please get in contact with two referees and prepare them to write a recommendation. Please add to your documents the contact information of these two referees. We will then contact them as soon as we have all required documents)

Recommended documents

• Proof of English language proficiency (see requirements)
• Scholarships, prizes and awards (if applicable)
• Copy of passport (international applicants)
• High school degree transcripts or equivalent

All submitted official documents must be in English or in German or need to be translated into either one of these languages. Please submit a copy of the original document and the translation.
