Workshop Objective

After this workshop, participants should have the confidence to continue working with Python to analyze their own data.

Workshop Description

The Data Analysis with Python workshop is intended for laboratory-based life scientists with no prior programming experience.

Python is an open-source cross-platform general purpose programming language that has gained immense popularity in the data science community in industry and is gaining in popularity among academics.

This 2-day workshop will introduce participants to key concepts in:

  • Programming (including common beginner pitfalls),
  • Data analysis (e.g. typical functions and processes), and
  • The core Python data science libraries: Pandas (data manipulation), NumPy (efficient computing), SciPy (statistics), and Seaborn (data visualization)

The trainer is Rick Scavetta from Scavetta Academy.

Please note that it is only possible to attend a complete course.
