The RTG1721 Summer School 2014 took place in Salzburg, Austria (Hotel Holiday Inn)
from July 16 - 18, 2014.

Impressions

As a program we had lectures from

  • Invited guest speakers, including Claudio Sustmann (Roche Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development, Roche Innovation Center, Penzberg), Hans Brandstetter (University of Salzburg), Remco Sprangers
    (MPI for Developmental Biology, Tübingen) and Tim Clausen (Research Institute of Molecular Pathology, Vienna)
  • Advanced doctoral students, postdocs and group leaders of participating groups, including Yolanda Markaki (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Department Biology), Daniel Wilson (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Gene Center), Julia Mahamid, Christian Benda (Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, Martinsried), Lisa Warner (Technische Universität München)
  • GRK1721 students Carina Mann, Stefan Arenz (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Gene Center) and Jan Schuller (Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, Martinsried)

The poster prizes went to André Heuer (Project Group Beckmann), Stefan Arenz (Project Group Wilson) and Sandra Schneller (Project Group Hopfner).

Furthermore, the RTG1721 doctoral students presented their research on posters.
As social activities, we visited the Fortress Hohensalzburg.
